A postcard to all… Having a great time at Neurosupport’s Holiday Exhibition! Marvellous exhibitors… Wish you were here!!!!
9 months ago • 0 notesUnfortunately, the Disabled Motorcyclists Association has had to pull out of the exhibition - so we have plenty of room for one or two more exhibitors. So if you would like to join us as an exhibitor give Danny Start a call on 0151 298 3281 or email danny@neurosupport.org.uk
Just a reminder: the cost is £20 for charities and £75 for businesses. If you’d like to talk about anything - just give Danny a call.
So, the list of exhibitors is:
So only 48 hours or so until an enjoyable and information packed event—come along and join the fun and games.
(Oh and did I tell you there’s a raffle—LFC signed football, National Express tickets to wherever you want to go in the British Isles, Rough Guides to Accessible Britain and fine Cypriot wine….)
9 months ago • 0 notesOnly a week to go now until exciting Holiday Exhibition for Disabled People at the Neurosupport Centre in the heart of sunny (sometimes) Liverpool. Our fifteen exhibitors are listed below and we have room for one more—so if you are a charity or organisation which offers holiday, travel and leisure advice/services to Disabled People, Liverpool on the 11 February is the place for you!
The day starts at 10am with a visit from Liverpool’s Lord Mayor, Councillor Steve Rotheram, and will end at 4pm. So come and see:
There will also be a raffle—and items on the table will include National Express tickets to anywhere in the UK, fine vintage Cyprus wine and a copy or two of the Rough Guide’s guide to Accessible Britain. And a signed football courtesy of Liverpool Football club might also make an appearance.
The Neurosupport Centre is central to Lime Street station and easily accessed by road. Go to streetmap reference http://www.streetmap.co.uk/streetmap.dll?G2M?X=335263&Y=390772&A=Y&Z=1 to see exactly where we are. For those of you using satnav our address is: Neurosupport Centre, Norton St, Liverpool L3 8LR.
If you’re coming by car then be advised we have a small carpark which is strictly blue badge holder only. But there is ample public carparking close by.
And if you want to know more about the day and what’s in store contact Danny Start at 0151 298 3281 and danny@neurosupport.org.uk

The hotel is located on a beautiful 5 acre olive grove nestled amongst the rolling hills of the Sierra Subbética Park with a view “to die for” and only 5 minutes from Andalucía’s largest lake. Sitting on top of the hill above the lake is the beautiful white village of Iznajar… I can hear the gentle thrum of Spanish guitars…

John Jones of HAFOD says “I have worked in Health Care for over thirty years and found that finding holidays for disabled people, who require help with their basic needs, is almost non existent! Last year I decided to leave the NHS and utilise my knowledge and skills by opening up our home to provide accessible holidays for people who might need a bit of extra help.”
HAFOD offers a pick-up/ drop off service (Sunday to Sunday) in it’s, wheelchair accessible, Fiat Doblo. Care is also provided and plenty of outings to places of local interest. HAFOD caters for those who wish to have an individually tailored break. Examples of this are: watercolour painting at Lake Vernwy, horseriding at Llynclys Riding School, cardmaking and scrapbooking, making birdboxes and gifts for friends, baking bread and scrumptious cakes—as well as all the usual sightseeing, and visits to museums and garden centres. HAFOD’s aim is to enable YOU to set the pace for your own enjoyment.
HAFOD does not print it’s price list as each individual has a different set of requirements. John Jones says “We are just an email or phone call away! We have been inspected and approved by Disabled Holiday Info and are also on their website in more detail. However our bed & breakfast only rates start from £30 p.p.p.n.for 2 people sharing our large wheelchair friendly room with ensuite wetroom.”
You can contact HAFOD by telephone, 01691 830437, and the website is www.hafodbandb.co.uk. HAFOD looks forward to hearing from you! Carers welcome at special rates.
